Usually, in the grinding process, it should be noted that plain weave, jacquard, and high count yarn fabrics should be finer, the grinding tension should not be too large, and the pressure should not be too heavy. The appropriate rough abrasive paper roll of twill fabric should be selected according to the actual situation of the fabric, and a little tension should be added. Otherwise, the hairing will not be enough to meet the requirements of the abrasive paper.

At the same time, if the pressure roller presses more lightly, the fuzzing effect will be more uniform. New sandpaper needs to press more lightly, the old sandpaper needs to press more heavily, plain and jacquard fabrics need to press more lightly, and twill fabrics need to press more lightly. The warp tension of the fabric should be uniform, but the strength damage of the fabric will be great, and the probability of wrinkles will be increased.

It is very important to adjust the pressure of the press according to the raising effect. The sandpaper rolls should be pressed lighter and the fine sand roll should be pressed heavier. The number of sandpaper rolls should be opened as much as possible, so that the hairing will be more uniform. Sandpaper roll should be replaced periodically in batches according to variety and wear degree. It is better to replace sandpaper roll with less and more frequently, which is beneficial to keep the grinding effect basically consistent among batches. The actual pressure on both sides of the grinding roller should be the same, otherwise, it is easy to produce uneven grinding and the color difference between left and right when dyeing.
